With the arrival of the winter season, Trenord and Snowit are ready to enthusiastically welcome mountain and winter sports enthusiasts again this year with Snow Trains to some of the charming ski resorts in Lombardy.
Snowit, in partnership with Trenord, allows you to travel to the ski resorts of Aprica and Corteno and Valmalenco, with packages that include train, shuttle and ski pass to fully enjoy your days on the snow. Starting with the 2023/2024 ski season, Madesimo, Domobianca and Piani di Bobbio will also be added to the range of destinations.

How do the Snow Trains work? All ticket information
Tickets are valid for the period from December 7, 2023 to April 14, 2024, and can be purchased exclusively online on trenord.it or with Snowit from the website or app, where you can customize the package by including additional services.
Tickets for Domobianca and Piani di Bobbio will be available soon, while those for Madesimo can already be purchased on Trenord’s website and starting 10/12 on Snowit.
You can also purchase tickets by 5 p.m. the day before your trip, but remember to use them on your chosen date during purchase.
Please note: your travel dates cannot be changed, and your train ticket is non-refundable. Also, be sure to check the validity of your ticket during the purchase process.
Here’s another important detail: the ticket does not require validation. With Trenord packages, you are entitled to one round trip, second class, on Trenord trains (Malpensa Express excluded), to be used on consecutive days.
What does the ticket include?
Tickets, daily or two-days, include:
- Round-trip travel on Trenord trains from any location in Lombardy to the nearest train station to the desired area;
- Dedicated shuttle bus service from the station to the ski facilities;
- Ski pass included (in Valmalenco, where you can opt for snowshoes).

New destinations are added to the destinations for this winter season: Madesimo, whose tickets can already be purchased online, and Piani di Bobbio and Domobianca, available soon
But the news doesn’t end there! This year comes a single ticket that allows a child under the age of 14 to travel together with an adult to the Aprica and Valmalenco resorts, choosing for one or two days, while in Madesimo only the one-day option is available.

Aprica and Corteno
The integrated ticket to Aprica and Corteno includes: round-trip travel from any Lombardy station to Tresenda-Aprica-Teglio, shuttle transfer to the Aprica ski lifts, and ski pass.
You can opt for single day, two days, or adult+child package for one or two days.
Valmalenco
Valmalenco, in addition to the classic package, offers an alternative: round-trip train ride to Tirano, shuttle transfer, Snow Eagle cable car ticket, and snowshoe rental.
Also for Valmalenco you have the option of purchasing day tickets, two-day tickets and both solutions of the adult+child package.
Madesimo
The proposal for Madesimo is valid only on Sundays and includes travel from any Lombardy station to Chiavenna, shuttle and ski pass. However, it provides only day tickets, including the adult+child package.
